Llamaron la atenci\u00f3n sobre lo que ellos consideran arrestos arbitrarios y la muerte de prisioneros bajo custodia. Organizaron marchas exigiendo la liberaci\u00f3n de familiares, que dicen que fueron detenidos injustamente.<\/p>\n\n<p>Desde marzo de 2022, el gobierno de El Salvador implement\u00f3 y extendi\u00f3 un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wola.org\/2022\/09\/corruption-state-of-emergency-el-salvador\/\">estado de excepci\u00f3n, llamado r\u00e9gimen de emergencia<\/a>, como respuesta para combatir la creciente violencia de las pandillas. La Asamblea Legislativa de El Salvador tom\u00f3 medidas inmediatas, iniciando un estado de excepci\u00f3n de 30 d\u00edas. Se suspendieron ciertas libertades civiles para facilitar las condiciones de detenci\u00f3n. Desde su aprobaci\u00f3n el 27 de marzo de 2022, el pa\u00eds experiment\u00f3 una importante <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presidencia.gob.sv\/durante-el-regimen-de-excepcion-se-contabilizan-80-dias-con-cero-homicidios-en-el-salvador\/\">disminuci\u00f3n en los homicidios.<\/a> Cientos de comunidades, antes controladas por grupos criminales, experimentaron una nueva realidad. Los miembros de pandillas ya no merodeaban por las calles. Sus hijos pod\u00edan salir a jugar y las estad\u00edsticas criminales disminuyeron en muchas \u00e1reas. Sin embargo, quedan preguntas sobre si el r\u00e9gimen hace m\u00e1s da\u00f1o que bien.<\/p>\n\n<p>Las autoridades son acusadas de detener injustamente a miles de personas, simplemente por pertenecer a zonas anteriormente gobernadas por pandillas violentas. Seg\u00fan los datos de la organizaci\u00f3n de derechos humanos Cristosal, la Polic\u00eda Nacional Civil (PNC) viol\u00f3 los derechos de m\u00e1s de 3,403 personas. Estas violaciones incluyeron allanamientos ilegales de viviendas y tratamiento injusto. Casi 63,000 personas han sido detenidas. Este r\u00e9gimen permite detenciones sin derecho a abogado, arrestos sin \u00f3rdenes judiciales y acceso gubernamental a conversaciones privadas.<\/p>\n\n<p>Organizaciones internacionales y locales han expresado repetidamente preocupaci\u00f3n por las violaciones de derechos humanos.
