Sam Yehia is the Founder and Publisher of Orato World Media, an independent news organization built on one simple idea: people who survive current news events are often best placed to tell the story. He calls this first-person news storytelling and created the online news media site more commonly known as Orato World Media—where every story reveals a truthful account of a current news event from a real person, verified by an experienced and qualified journalist. All based on the simple belief—the most powerful and truthful stories are told by the people who lived them.
For years, Sam has worked to build this global community by giving a voice to eyewitnesses, survivors, victims, heroes, whistleblowers and ordinary people whose experiences are too often lost behind the headlines. His goal—to reveal the human thread in every current event, giving viewers a better understanding of what it took in terms of courage, resilience, will power and presence of mind required to survive and live to tell about it.
Alongside leading Orato's editorial direction, Sam is a thought leader who authors opinion-editorials on the most pressing issues shaping our world. From war and inequality to democracy, technology and human rights, his essays challenge conventional thinking, draw lessons from history and explore what today's events mean for tomorrow.
Everything filed since 2019, newest first.
