Fatima Naoot
Fatima Naoot is an Egyptian journalist, poet and translator. She holds a degree in Architecture from Ain Shams University's Faculty of Engineering. Naoot has authored 35 books, including poetry collections, translations, and works on literary and cultural criticism. Her poems are translated into over 10 languages. Naoot contributes weekly columns and articles to various Egyptian and Arab publications, such as Al-Masry Al-Youm, 24 Emirates, and Al-Hayat. She has represented Egypt at prestigious international literary festivals and conferences and participated in global translation workshops alongside renowned poets and translators. Her translation work includes Arabic versions of literary novels and intellectual books by Virginia Woolf, Philip Roth, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and others. Naoot's work has been the subject of several academic theses and dissertations both in the Arab world and internationally. An active member of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, Engineers Syndicate, and Writers Union, Naoot's articles often explore themes of beauty, justice, and citizenship rights.
