Bringing people together through art

Art within the context of cultural heritage offers an effective instrument to encourage learning, creativity, critical thinking, and personal development. Over 60 exhibitors participated in the 17th edition Art in the Park in the Philippines. The event draws art lovers and collectors alike. While admission remains free, the yearly tradition has raised over 25 million Philippine pesos ($455,228 USD) for the Museum Foundation of the Philippines since it first opened its doors. Prior to the event, the Art in the Park Instagram page announced the artists along with examples of their work.

As social media connectedness grows and more artists join the event, the art scene continues to thrive, ensuring the creative sector receives its fair share of economic growth. The funds also go towards future art programs and projects around the country. In addition, Art in the Park’s main goal is to offer an opportunity for emerging artists to be discovered. The event welcomes thousands of people, eager to explore the colorful works displayed. It also features live performances, such as poetry readings, music, and interactive displays. The doors opened from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., offering viewers plenty of time to make their rounds.
