The Philippines Animal Welfare Society hosts incredible event for World Animal Day
The World Animal Day celebration was organized by PAWS, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society.
Some of the attendees stood out through the use of props and special carrying devices for their animals.
A common theme noticed at this year’s World Animal Day celebration included animals wearing sunglasses.
Events throughout World Animal Day created an eclectic and fun-filled experience at the Mall of the Asia
Special events scheduled throughout the day included a pet parade where hundreds of pet parents and their animals walked outside the Mall of Asia carrying signs and wearing joyful smiles.
Some unusual pets made a splash at the event, drawing extra attention, including iguanas and turtles.
The largest religious denomination in the Philippines is Roman Catholicism. Several Catholic priests came came to offer blessings upon the pets at a scheduled event in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.

The pet owners also included children who enjoyed a day out with their fur babies.
Beautifully groomed breeds added interest to the event and drew attention from the attendees.One thing everyone at World Animal Day at the Mall of Asia in the Philippines had in common was the joy of spending time with their pets amongst other loving pet owners.
