This gallery features a major celebration in India on the 75th National Republic Day on January 26, 2024. January 26, 1950 marked the day India’s Constitution went into full effect. That day saw the Purna Swaraj resolution, which called for India’s freedom from the British. On this 75th anniversary, a major parade weaved from Kartavya Path to the Indian Gate. The 2024 event featured French President Emmanuel Macron as the foreign dignitary. Past dignitaries included Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and American President Barack Obama.
